Jayme Haynes (Nursing) successfully defended her dissertation, "Effects of a Discourse Intervention on End of Life Knowledge and Attitude in BSN Nursing Students”. She will earn her doctorate title once her courses finish this semester
Bonnie Stolzman (Nursing) successfully defended her doctor of nursing practice project, "New Nurse Reality Shock & Early Burnout; Can Role Transition Education Received During New Nurse Residency Positively Affect Satisfaction?" She will officially earn her doctor status upon completing her semester coursework.
Christian Cervantes (Nursing) recently won the Clinical Nursing Staff Member of the Quarter at Desert Springs Hospital, part of the new Desert Diamond Awards, which recognize employee achievement in areas such as safety, hospitality, integrity, nurturing and excellence.

Jennifer Vanderlaan (Nursing) recently presented a symposium, entitled, "Addressing Challenges to Establishing Water Birth Practices" at the International Confederation of Midwives Virtual Triennial Congress. Vanderlaan spoke on three of her research projects related to water birth, potential neonatal outcomes, and protocol reviews.
