Community Connections

UNLV has been an integral part of the growth and prosperity of Southern Nevada and has helped improve the business, social, and cultural climate at all levels.

“Great communities are built around great universities, but only because they work together. Yes, we teach students, we do research, and we have sporting teams, but here's what else we are doing to leverage our resources for the greater community.”

UNLV Services for the Community

UNLV Health clinics and School of Dental Medicine clinics are committed to serving patients in need within the community. At our Thomas & Mack Legal Clinic, students, under faculty supervision, represent clients who otherwise could not afford legal representation.

“All the physicians, residents, and medical students are volunteering. This is a volunteer opportunity to make a great impact on the service within the community. And the patients are so appreciative of this. It's an enjoyable evening that we spend together. Seeing patients, educating patients, educating students, educating the staff, just everyone all together in a very interdisciplinary type of way.”
