REBELPeople is a comprehensive learning and performance management system for UNLV employees. The content in the system is divided into two categories: 

  • REBELearn: UNLV’s enterprise-wide employee learning management system (LMS) focused on employee professional development. It delivers, consolidates, and tracks campus training activities including required compliance-based courses and professional development offerings. 
  • REBELPerform: The employee performance management and evaluation system for classified staff and administrative faculty. All aspects of the evaluation process - from self-assessment to final approvals - are completed in REBELPerform.

All employees who have been processed in Workday, including student employees, can access REBELPeople using their ACE ID.

Technical Support and Common Errors/Inquiries

If you encounter the “User Is Not Assigned to This Application” error message, please . In the ticket, request to have the REBELPeople and REBELearn apps added to your ACE account.

Employees will receive a REBELPeople account on their official start date in Workday. Employees who try to login before that day will receive a “User record does not exist” error message.

Follow these steps if you need to complete FERPA training prior to your start date:

  • View the

    • Scores of 11/15 or higher are considered passing
  • Once you have passed the quiz, the Office of the Registrar will automatically process your account

Student Safety Academy

The Student Safety Academy (SSA) is the new centralized platform for all current and future online safety training courses at UNLV, catering to students, volunteers, and campus visitors. 

Access to the SSA requires the user to be connected to the campus network.

Here's how to use the SSA:

  1. Access the while on the campus network. For those users off campus, the UNLV VPN is available to students who need remote access to systems that are only accessible on the campus network, including the SSA. For more information on the VPN service, including how to setup your VPN, please visit the .
  2. Select a user type. Please note that if you select faculty, staff, or employee, you will be redirected to the REBELearn system.
  3. Enter your information and click the confirm button.
  4. Choose your desired course and proceed with the training.
  5. Upon completing the course and passing the quiz, a green bar will appear, prompting you to click to finalize the course.
  6. Clicking the bar will generate a certificate of completion on-screen and send an email with the same certificate.
  7. Print the certificate directly from the screen or retrieve it from your email.

*The Vault system for online safety training is no longer the university’s safety software platform. All Risk Management and Safety Training will be available through REBELearn or the Student Safety Academy platforms.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) Program participants should email beth.davis@unlv.edu for the login link and credentials.

Every two weeks, supervisors receive a report listing any of their direct reports who have overdue mandatory training. 

If the employee(s) listed on this report no longer work in your department or at UNLV, please work with the appropriate individual from your department to complete the termination process in Workday. Once the data in Workday has been updated, the reports will be accurate.

If the employee(s) are terminated in Workday but transferred to another NSHE institution, contact REBELearn@unlv.edu with the employee’s last date of employment at UNLV.

PA - Understanding Public Records

If you meet any of the following conditions, you are required to take this training course  to understand your role as a state representative and the university’s legal obligations to promptly comply with public records requests.

  • You are paid by UNLV or NSHE
  • You have a UNLV-issued email address
  • You gather, maintain, store, or prepare any contracts, reports, presentations, emails, or any correspondence related to university operations
    • This includes emeritus / emerita status faculty

The Office of Public Affairs manages all requests for public records submitted to the university. TIX - Preventing Harassment and Discrimination

According to the Office of EEO and Title IX, emeritus/ emerita-status professors are still required to take the TIX - Preventing Harassment and Discrimination training pursuant to Title 4, Chapter 8, Section 14 of the NSHE Board of Regents Handbook. 

This training prepares faculty and staff to cultivate and maintain a workplace culture resistant to discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Faculty and Staff will be equipped with the information and skills that promote intervention, empathy, and allyship. This course includes a section specific to requirements under Title IX and the Clery Act. For any other questions about the NSHE Board of Regents policy, email vince.mcguinness@unlv.edu.

  • NSHE Board of Regents Handbook Title 4, Chapter 3, Section 39, states that "A person granted the title Emeritus/Emerita is considered to have lifetime status as a NSHE employee."
  • NSHE Board of Regents Handbook Title 4, Chapter 8, Section 2, states that "All employees and members of the Board of Regents must receive the training required pursuant to Subsection 1 at least biennially.

DEI - Diversity, Equity, and Belonging

The Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging course equips employees and leaders with skills for effective collaboration in a diverse workforce. It fosters a culture of speaking up and allyship, making complex topics like equity, identity, unconscious bias, and microaggressions accessible. The course enhances awareness, understanding, and positive action across the organization.

According to the DEI Office, emeritus and emerita-status professors are still required to take the Discrimination and DEI - Diversity, Equity, and Belonging training pursuant to Title 4, Chapter 8, Section 14 of the NSHE Board of Regents Handbook.
