REBELearn Training Academy

REBELearn Training Academy logo

The REBELearn Training Academy (RTA) is hosted by the Human Resources department. We provide online training courses, guidance documents, videos, and other helpful resources to become a REBELearn Department Administrator (RDA). All RDAs will have administrator access to the Rebel People Learning Management System (LMS). This curriculum will take you through the process of launching a training program at the end of the program. RDAs who complete this curriculum will have the ability to work autonomously with their department(s) on administering different types of training courses in the Rebel People LMS platform.

“REBELearn Training Academy (RTA) helped me launch my training and migrate data from our previous learning system into a uniform platform. By switching from our former system to REBELearn, I saved the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine a large sum of money."

Elaine Aromin, Assistant Director of Contracts and Compliance, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine

Course Descriptions

In this lesson, you will learn the basics including governance structure, technical support, navigation, and other features REBELearn has to offer.

REBELearn accepts all main training material formats. Uploading files, PDFs, PowerPoints, videos, and SCORM packages are crucial for a well-rounded training program. We will discuss the different formats and the pros and cons of each type.

In this lesson, we will discuss the fundamental building blocks for REBELearn: courses and classes. There are four learning modalities known as delivery types: web-based, virtual instructor-led training, instructor-led training, and blended. Learn about each and the importance of designating one for each training class.

Curriculums are powerful tools to assign individual subjects to an overarching topic (examples: Management Training Academy and our very own REBELearn Training Academy). RDAs can leverage modules and learning paths to achieve the ideal structure for their training objectives. Certifications are used for compliance requirements. In addition, RDAs can set up automated recertification paths to keep employees up to date with UNLV policies.

Smart Lists and Audience Types are two ways to help target participants for your training. We have the ability to include or exclude users based on Workday data. Prescriptive rules can help us automate and schedule training so that we spend less time with manual efforts.

REBELearn has robust assessment options to meet your testing needs. There are 12 different question types (e.g., true/ false, fill in the blank, multiple-choice, etc.) you can choose from to create your exam. Evaluations have the same robust building blocks as assessments. Users can automate evaluations to be sent in the future to their direct managers.

Metrics, data, and automation can help us gauge participation, receive feedback, and compliance. We will explore the different data fields that correlate between users and training data. Also, we will learn how to schedule reports and give limited reporting access to individuals (non-administrators) or managers.

REBELearn has powerful tools to manage class rosters and attendance. In this course, we will be going over how to assign, check in, and learn other functions pertaining to class registration. You can utilize tasks and checklists in order to create a full-bodied course. Resources are important information that can be added to help users identify instructors, physical rooms/facilities, and equipment.
