Your Next Steps after Being Admitted to UNLV


  • Log into and click on the Admissions tile to accept. UNLV does not require an admission deposit If you need help logging in, please call IT Help Desk 702-895-0777.


  • Join us for Admitted Rebel Days, Rebel Preview, a Next Steps session, or a Regional Admitted Reception to learn more about your next steps to becoming a Rebel. These events are offered both in-person and virtually. Select the “New Student Orientation” event type to view these events.

  • Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships (if you haven’t already)

    • Starting October 1, you can complete the Institutional Aid Application (IAA) to determine your financial aid eligibility before the FAFSA becomes available.

    • Students who are considered DACA, undocumented, or international should complete the Alternate Need Form.

    • Priority consideration for financial aid and institutional scholarships will be given to those who submit by March 15 (fall). Funding may be limited for applications received after the deadline. Institutional scholarships (except Millennium) are for fall semester transfers only. Spring transfer students are not eligible.

    • FAFSA-eligible students will also need to complete the FAFSA as it becomes available.


  • Your ACE account allows you to log into various UNLV services and applications, including , and on-campus computers with just one username and password. You will also need to set up Okta and Multifactor Authentication using a smartphone.


  • This is the university’s official means of communicating with you, and using your account is mandatory. When you activate your Rebelmail, you will have access to Google Workspace applications such as Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Google Drive.


  • View your Transfer Credit Report so you learn how your credits transferred and be prepared with questions for your Academic Advisor.Here is how you can view your .

  • Register for and Attend New Student Orientation
    Registration opens in February for the fall semester and November for the spring semester. Transfer students are highly encouraged to attend this half day program that will assist in a successful transition to UNLV. During the event you will have the opportunity to connect with future classmates, learn about resources and support services, explore involvement opportunities, and more. Details will be sent to your Rebelmail account.


  • You can log into the Rebel Success Hub with your ACE account to find answers to frequently asked questions, complete your financial aid verification, or submit your immunization records. You can also request help from various offices.

  • with your  UNLV Academic Advisor through the Rebel Success Hub. You will be able to enroll in courses for the term you were admitted, after you have met with your Academic Advisor.

  • Submit Your Immunization Records
    Students attending UNLV must meet immunization requirements. Proof of immunizations must be uploaded to the as soon as possible to prevent registration holds.

  • Provide Official Documents
    Submit any in-progress or final official documents to the Office of Admissions so that you will be placed in the appropriate level courses: (ugdocuments@unlv.edu)


  • Familiarize yourself with your MyUNLV account. Regularly check the Tasks tile for important notifications and any To Do List items. MyUNLV allows you to manage things such as registering for classes, checking grades, and paying your tuition and fees.

  • Check Your Residency Status
    Nevada high school graduates are automatically considered in-state residents for tuition purposes. If you did not graduate from a Nevada high school and believe you qualify for in-state residency, review the residency application as soon as possible to determine your eligibility and apply with the required documentation.

  • Create Your RebelCard
    As a new student you can easily submit your photo and government ID online today and you will pick up your card at New Student Orientation. Follow instructions on how to submit your photo here.

  • Explore Housing
    Transfer students are not required to live on campus but on-campus housing options are available.

  • Review Dining Options
    Residential dining plans are offered on a semester basis and include meals at the Dining Commons and various locations around campus.

  • Attend Rebel Ready Week
    All incoming transfer students are strongly encouraged to attend Rebel Ready Week the week before fall semester begins. Rebel Ready Week is designed to help you gain a sense of belonging and prepare you for a less-stressful first year and a more successful college experience overall. You’ll be assigned to a group and paired with a Rebel Ready Week leader. Together you'll participate in small and large group sessions, listen to keynote speakers, meet new people, and attend various workshops. Throughout the week, you'll also have the chance to attend breakout sessions on topics that interest you. Registration will open after you attend orientation
