Rebel Ready Week

Monday, Aug. 19 – Friday, Aug. 23

Check-In Information for Monday, Aug. 19

Check in at the Thomas & Mack Center during your assigned time:

  • 7:30 – 8 a.m.: Honors College
  • 7:45 – 8:15 a.m.: Exploring, Integrated Health Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, and Urban Affairs
  • 8:15 – 8:45 a.m.: Business, Education, Fine Arts, and Hospitality
  • 8:45 – 9:15 a.m.: Engineering, Liberal Arts, and Sciences
  • 9 a.m.: On-Campus Residents
    • Bring your name tag and lanyard to check-in. If you didn't receive your name tag at your residence hall check-in, please visit the check-in tents on the Thomas & Mack Center plaza.
  • You will check in every day at the Thomas & Mack Center and sit in your assigned section by college
  • Programming Tuesday-Thursday will run from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Programming on Friday will run from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Rebel Relax programs will run nightly from 5 – 9 p.m.

You'll attend the morning program with your student and then participate in separate family programming in the afternoon. You'll reunite with your student at 4 p.m. for the closing session, which will end at 5 p.m. Please encourage your student to attend the Speed Friending activity from 5 – 6:30 p.m.

Welcome Day Activities

Friday, Aug. 23

Wrap up Rebel Ready Week with our annual welcoming ceremony and academic convocation, UNLV Creates! The event will be hosted at the Thomas & Mack Center Strip View Pavilion, with doors opening at 9 a.m. and the event beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The entire campus community is invited to join us for food, music, and activities from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the UNLV Academic Mall.

Meet with a variety of campus departments to learn about on-campus job opportunities. The fair runs will run from 12 – 2 p.m. inside the Student Union, room 208.

Parking on Campus

Parking is free during Rebel Ready Week. On Monday, park in the Scarlet Lot or any unreserved space marked “Student” in the Tropicana Parking Garage. For the remainder of the week, we recommend parking in the Tropicana Parking Garage or Cottage Grove Parking Garage in any unreserved space marked “Student.”

  • Students can move in before Rebel Ready Week on Sunday, Aug. 18.
