Celebrating 24 Years
Remembering a Fierce Leader: UNLV President Emerita Carol C. Harter
"As we mourn the loss of a visionary leader we recount the numerous ways in which Carol C. Harter promoted women’s leadership. She provided a strong voice of support for the newly-created Women’s Research Institute of Nevada in the late 1990s and continued to advocate for our programs throughout her tenure. As our 2004 NEW Leadership Keynote speaker she inspired young women from across Nevada with her words of wisdom and inspiration. She will be missed!"
Dr. Caryll Batt Dziedziak, Director Women’s Research Institute of Nevada
"Dr. Harter's Keynote speech opened my eyes as to what makes a truly effective female leader. She delineated the steps to create a team, and greatness. I especially enjoyed her thoughts on being a visionary without imposing a vision."
