Charles Cleveland has been a long time resident of Las Vegas and a supporter of the College of Liberal Arts and UNLV. He chose to establish this gift to help begin this worthwhile program. The Psychology Outreach Undergraduate Mentor Program Award was created to help mentor students of diverse backgrounds to continue their education into graduate school. At the same time, this program recruits high school students of diverse backgrounds to go to college, specifically UNLV.
The Psychology Outreach Undergraduate Mentor Program Award shall be awarded to student(s) meeting the following criteria:
- Student must be formally admitted to UNLV;
- Student must have a minimum 2.75 GPA or higher;
- Student can be registered as part-time or full-time students;
- Student must pursue a major or minor in Psychology;
- Student must be members in good standing of the Psychology Outreach Undergraduate Mentor Program. Good standing is outlined in the Programs Constitution; and
- Student must complete the Outreach Undergraduate Mentor Program application for financial support available from the Department of Psychology to be eligible for the award.
Recipients may reapply for this scholarship in subsequent years, provided they maintain scholarship criteria and remain in good standing with the institution.
*Unless otherwise noted, all students who fill out a FAFSA or alternate need form and meet the criteria for the scholarship will be considered. No other application is needed.
*Selected award winner’s name is due to the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s office by December 1st.
