The Eleanor F. Edwards and Max Olswang Scholarship shall be awarded to a student(s) meeting the following criteria:
- Students must be formally admitted to UNLV and must be enrolled full time;
- Student must be enrolled in the Department of Anthropology;
- Student must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Applications for professional activity of anthropology students must include:
- Transcripts of all academic work;
- A proposal of the professional activity to be supported. Professional activity might include research in the field, travel to professional conferences, or the purchase of equipment to support research. The text of the proposal should be no more than five, single-spaced pages and must include a budget;
- A curriculum vitae; and
- List all support you receive or for which you have applied.
Applications for pre-professional activity of anthropology students must include:
- Transcripts of all academic work in anthropology.
- A proposal of the pre-professional activity to be supported. Such activity might include research in the field, travel to professional conferences, or the purchase of equipment to support research. The text of the proposal should be no more than five, single-spaced pages and must include a budget;
- A curriculum vitae; and
- List al agencies or programs to which you have applied for financial support and the amounts you have requested.
*Unless otherwise noted, all students who fill out a FAFSA or alternate need form and meet the criteria for the scholarship will be considered. No other application is needed.
*Selected award winner’s name is due to the College of Liberal Arts Dean’s office by December 1st.
