Terrible's Cares Scholarship
Awarded to one student per year during the awarding cycle
Scholarship Criteria
- Must be an incoming freshman student at UNLV
- Must be a graduate of a Nevada high school
- Must have attended school for eight years within a Nevada school district
- Must maintain a 2.75 GPA to renew their scholarship annually
- Must demonstrate financial need as determined in the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Alternate Need Determination Form
- Must write and submit a one-page essay as part of the application process

"At Terrible's, our mission is to provide a deliberately different experience to each of our guests. In your own words, please share what makes you deliberately different from your peers and how this scholarship will help your academic and/or professional goals?"
How to Apply
The application opens in May of each calendar year for award disbursement the following academic year (e.g., application opens May 2023 and is awarded in fall 2023). Awards are based on fund availability.

To apply for any of these scholarships, complete the by 5:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time) on Friday, February 23, 2024. Submit as soon as possible for priority consideration.
Wells Fargo, NV First Gen Scholarship Criteria
Scholarship Criteria
- Be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits
- Demonstrate financial need based on Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Be a Nevada resident
- Be a first-generation student
Gray Family Foundation Scholarship Criteria
Scholarship Criteria
- Be enrolled full- or part-time
- Demonstrate financial need based on FAFSA
- Have a minimum 2.75 GPA
- Be a Nevada resident or WUE
Additional Preference Items For Consideration
- Being a first-generation student
- Being a participant in BSO, TRIO, GEAR UP, AANAPISI, NSF-LSAMP
- Having earned 30-60 credits
Carrera-Joffe Scholarship Criteria
Scholarship Criteria
- Be a fully admitted undergraduate student
- Be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits in the fall and spring semesters
- Be or become a participant in a CAEO College Program
- Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA
- Must major in business or STEM (includes medical, nursing, and public health)
