Handouts & Workshops

If you feel a little stuck but do not want to make an appointment yet, we have a library of handouts and video workshops created by Writing Center consultants, as well as helpful external writing websites. Our writing resources cover writing strategies, genre, citations, formatting, grammar, and punctuation.

Services for Students

The Writing Center is free for all students, and our consultants work with students at all levels and across all majors. If you are stuck on something you are writing, even if you haven’t started writing yet, schedule an appointment. You might want to try out a few consultants until you find one that you really like working with.

Services for Faculty and Staff

Writing Center consultants do not only work with students! If you are stuck on something you are writing, please schedule an appointment.

Also, students report that the best way they learn about the Writing Center is through their advisors and instructors. Add our handouts to your WebCampus page to help students learn writing skills, invite a consultant into your class to explain our services to you and your students, or schedule a consultation to get feedback on your own writing, including assignment prompts that students are struggling with. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our services or would like more information on how to encourage your students to use the Writing Center.
