Call for Entries: December 6 Memorial Art at Beam Hall
UNLV is accepting applications for commissioned artwork (Work for Hire) to honor the victims of the December 6 tragedy. The artwork is one of several items being considered for recommendation by the December 6 Memorial Committee to support healing, reflection, and recovery.
This call is open to all UNLV students, faculty, staff, and alumni who are 18 years or older. Artists may submit proposals as individuals or teams. Although not a requirement and no special consideration is given, artists or teams of artists are encouraged to include a UNLV College of Fine Arts faculty member, student, or alumnus.
Each artist or artist team is required to submit their resumes and examples of previous artwork, especially large-scale works they have created, solely to provide background information for the evaluation and selection process as to the past experience of the artist or artist team in creating artwork generally, and of a similar nature.
Each selected artist or artist team will receive $1,500 provided that the artist or artist team signs an agreement with the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education on behalf of the Ê×Ò³| Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» for the work.
