This organization coordinates such student activities as: the Physician Shadowing Program; Dentist Shadowing Program; Humanitarian Service Program; Bone Marrow Donor Registration Drive; Organ Donor Registration Drive; annual presentations from nationally ranked medical schools (Duke University School of Medicine, Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, etc,); annual presentations from pharmacy programs (Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, etc.); and the annual tour of the UNLV School of Dental Medicine.

The American Nuclear Society student section is a not for-profit, international, scientific and educational organization. Our mission is to unify the professional and educational activities within the diverse fields of nuclear science and technology. As well as serve its members in their efforts to develop and safely apply nuclear science and technology for public benefit through knowledge exchange, professional development, and enhanced public understanding.
- Association of Pre-Health Professionals

This organization hosts presentations by local health professionals including but not limited to physicians, occupational therapists, and podiatrists. They also host annual recruiting visits for the University of Nevada School of Medicine and Touro University — Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, and annual tours of both medical schools. The organization possesses an extensive test bank that all members can access.
- Biology Graduate Student Association (BIOS)

BIOS is the association of biology graduate students at UNLV. This organization was formed in the fall of 2001 to better represent the interests of the biology department's graduate students both within the department and campuswide. Members of our organization sit on many important departmental committees as well as the university's graduate student association. Membership in the organization is voluntary; however most of our current graduate students count themselves as members. Our four primary goals are:
- To provide a strong bridge between the faculty and graduate students
- To raise travel money to be awarded within the department.
- To act as a sound board for fellow students to generate new ideas.
- To be involved in and improve our community and local schools.
- Future Latinos in Medicine

This is a group of Latino pre-medical students that have the goal of increasing the number of minorities in healthcare. The goup has presented for more than 200 middle school and high school students in at-risk schools, began a free tutoring program at the East Las Vegas Community Center called Homework & Hoops, and provide Spanish translation at Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada. The College of Sciences Graduate Research Council includes two students from each department, selected by the dean through a competitive interview process. Representatives from science-based student organizations and senators from the Consolidated Students of the University of Nevada (CSUN) are also members. The members work closely with the dean to address issues of concern to graduate students.

The Graduate & Professional Student Association office provides a study and social lounge for graduate and professional students with a small resource library and a copy machine. A computer lab is also available to graduate and professional students during GPSA office hours.

The is a non-profit organization whose mission is to nurture students enrolled in the biological sciences or biochemistry fields. In their endeavor, they provide several services to new and existing students of the Biological Sciences majors/minors and Biochemistry majors at UNLV. Undergraduate students are provided with information, mentorship, and guidance from upperclassmen and professionals in the field of Life Sciences. LSSA educates students with effective means, habits, and skills to better their academic achievement and future professional career goals, and provides an environment that advocates personal intellectual growth and development.

The (MAPS) is an organization that is intended to increase the pipeline of minorities into all health professions, inclusive of medicine, nursing, public health, health care administration and entrepreneurship. This includes, but is not limited to: Black/African American, Latinx, Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, and Middle Eastern, and other minority students. MAPS provide MCAT resources, application workshops and community service opportunities for UNLV students

MSSP is dedicated to keeping minority students informed of application procedures, curriculum, and other information regarding admission to professional schools. Also, we provide opportunities for students to become involved in community activities, attend guest lectures by community health-care professionals, interact with faculty, and attend social functions.

is an E-Mentoring network that positively affects the retention and success of students in all disciplines, with significant gains in engineering, science and mathematics. The program benefits particularly but not exclusively women and others underrepresented in these fields. Assistant professor Michelle Elekonich coordinates College of Sciences activities in this national program designed to further the progress of students "through the use of a dynamic, technology-supported mentoring network, and to enhance engineering and related sciences by promoting a diversified, expanded and talented global workforce."

The objectives of the Nevada chapter are to promote statistics and its applications and to increase the contributions of statistics to human welfare. The chapter strives to increase the unity and effectiveness of Nevadans interested in or concerned with statistical problems.
- Pi Mu Epsilon (PME)

The mathematical sciences department has an active math club combining a Pi Mu Epsilon chapter and a student chapter of Mathematical Association of America (MAA) that meets a couple times a month. We sponsor talks by UNLV faculty as well as mathematicians from other universities, giving us a way to see how mathematics relates to our everyday lives. Occasionally, we have social gatherings without sponsored talks as well. All students and faculty are welcome to come to our meetings.

Article 1, Section 2 of the Constitution of Sigma Gamma Epsilon states that "the society shall have for its objectives the scholastic and scientific advancement of its members and the extension of the relations of friendship and assistance among colleges, universities, and scientific schools with recognized standing which are devoted to the advancement of the Earth Sciences." Huh? Said plainly, the goal of SGE is to promote academic achievement among its members, as well as involvement between members of this chapter and with other chapters. Keyword: involvement.
While SGE is academically-oriented and GPA dependent, the UNLV Geoscience Club was founded with the goal of involving all students who share a love of earth science, regardless of grade point average.

The encourages and assists students interested in physics to develop the knowledge, competence, enthusiasm, and social responsibility that are essential to the advancement of physics; stimulates interest in advance study and research in physics; develops collegiality among physics students and faculty members; promotes public interest in physics; provides a liaison between students and the member societies of the American Institute of Physics; and recognizes high scholarship and potential achievement in physics among outstanding students by means of Sigma Pi Sigma membership.

Their mission is to promote a network of future health professionals through community engagement, leadership development, and first-hand healthcare experience. UNLV HOSA is the only organization at UNLV that offers a multitude of health-related competitions including CPR/ first aid, biomedical debate, and dental science on top of various volunteering opportunities.

This organization hosts professionals in the different fields of dentistry including but not limited to oral surgeons, endodontists, periodontists, orthodontists, and pediatric dentists. This organization also hosts an annual tour of the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. UNLV Pre-Dental Society also grants access to DAT preparation materials and provides a student support network for all predental students.
