The School of Nursing at UNLV offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN). The program comprises 122 credit hours of undergraduate coursework across 4 semesters after completing the Pre-Nursing requirements. Coursework includes classroom, clinical, and research/service-learning activities. The School of Nursing’s undergraduate nursing program has patient-centered care at the core of the curriculum. The School of Nursing offers two options for a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (Traditional BSN and Accelerated Second Degree). Each plan is intense and demanding. Students must complete all prerequisite courses before taking the nursing courses. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing prepares students for entry level nursing practice as well as future graduate study. All students must successfully complete the pre-major requirements before they will be considered for admission to the major. The curriculum provides a comprehensive background in the art and science of Nursing and prepares graduates to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination. The UNLV School of Nursing program data page contains the program's first time and overall pass rates for students graduating from the program and taking the NCLEX. The data page also contains information regarding program acceptance, matriculation, graduation, and employment rates of all our graduates.
