UNLV football is in the game. The long-awaited reboot of EA Sports’ college football video game series is expected to be released this summer, and the Rebels will be among the schools included.

On Tuesday, the Rebels were recognized during the Clark County Commissioners Meeting after having one of the best seasons in school history. Their accomplishments include winning nine games, winning a share of the Mountain West regular season title, and also participating in the first bowl game since 2014.

There’s a sports team in Nevada whose success has been unmistakable. UNLV’s Lady Rebels, the women’s basketball team, has won more than 85% of their games, including NCAA tournament play, over the last three years. This year, they’ve won their first eight games. And all of this success began when Lindy La Rocque became coach of the team in 2021.
