The Arnold Shaw Popular Music Center has a new website! Launched this month, the completely revamped site contains information about the center's lecture series and events, a browsable (and ever growing) catalog of the manuscripts and other items in the collection, a news feed, ways to connect with the center, and much more. Laurence Myers Reese (Art) spoke at the 2022 Conney Conference for Jewish Arts at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, about his thesis work "In the Image of (Towards a Trans Talmud)," an interdisciplinary work investigating themes of intersex, trans, and genderqueer identity in Jewish texts. He is a graduate student.
Laurence Myers Reese (Art) presented his thesis work "In the Image of... (Towards a Trans Talmud)" at the Western Jewish Studies Association annual conference at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. His work was part of a panel on Modern Jewish Identities with scholars from Israel and the U.S. He is a graduate student.
