Accomplishments: University Libraries
University Libraries recently received a $5,000 donation from Culinary Workers Union Local 226 for its Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada project. Latinx Voices is an oral history project focused on collecting the history of the region's Latinx populations. Members of the Culinary Union also have donated their oral histories to the project.

David G. Schwartz (Libraries) was a featured speaker on a panel called "Sports, Casinos, The Mob, and the Moolah," which was presented by the Clark County Library as part of its Mob Month program. Schwartz shared his perspectives on the histories of sports betting, organized crime, corruption, and technlogical change.
Special Collections & Archives (Libraries) has received a significant donation from Mark and Marianne Haley to support the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada project and to hire a graduate student to work on processing the menu collection.
