This year, there’s a diamond jubilee going on just north of our studios. It’s the seventy-fifth birthday of the City of North Las Vegas, incorporated on May 1, 1946.

In recent weeks, as the New York City weather has warmed and my second vaccine jab has clocked in at full, immunized capacity, I've started to go "out." The Nevada Supreme Court hands Republicans a huge win today in Carson City, agreeing unanimously with Republicans that Democrats were wrong about passing two bills in 2019. Both bills raised millions in revenue, which means lawmakers now have to plug a budget hole that’s north of $100 million, potentially paying back what the court has ruled as an unconstitutionally collected payroll tax and a fee collected at the Division of Motor Vehicles.
During his time as mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar Goodman publicly said he believed the Plaza’s days were numbered. The animosity Goodman had for the downtown resort is what ultimately failed to stand the test of time.
I might be relatively new to fashion reporting, but with almost three decades of life under my belt, I'm old enough to know that, like plot lines in literature, there is rarely any fashion trend that hasn't been done before.
