Learning often takes place in a lab, but Baylor students have the opportunity to provide direct patient care to people in Panama. In partnership with the ��ҳ| �鶹��ýӳ�� chapter, Baylor students can volunteer with Global Medical Brigades — an international movement advocating for sustainable health care systems — to gain hands-on experience in the medical field.

The U.S. Department of Education (ED), in coordination with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), announced new efforts today to expand high-quality and affordable pathways into teaching, as well as to increase pay and strengthen working conditions across the early childhood, K-12, and higher education workforce.

Local students are one step closer toward their business careers after winning a big scholarship. Fifth-graders at Fay Herron Elementary School competed for a $15,000 donation through the Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada's (JASN) entrepreneurship program.

Young artists brought their vision to life on the largest screen in Las Vegas. The Sphere XO Student Design Challenge invited 30 UNLV students and 30 CCSD high schoolers for art training events. Selected artists used a VR headset pre-loaded with XO Creator to design artwork on the Exosphere, the Sphere's 580,000 square-foot LED exterior.

Louis Armstrong and Benny Goodman performed there. Gladys Knight and Wayne Newton had residencies in its theatre. Magicians Siegfried & Roy made their Las Vegas debut there. And James Bond checked into room 831 after saying, “I hear that the Hotel Tropicana is quite comfortable” in the movie “Diamonds are Forever.”

Yazmin Martinez, a Ph.D. candidate in computer science at the ��ҳ| �鶹��ýӳ��, was recognized as the 2023 doctoral student of the year by the Pacific Southwest Region University Center for her innovative research methods and achievements.

In recent years, millions of people across the United States have moved from Democratic cities to Republican suburbs, complicating the politics of swing states in a pivotal election year, according to a Stateline analysis.

There are over 53 million caregivers in the United States, possibly closer to 60 million. These caregivers are of all ages—nearly half are millennials or younger—and the people they care for come in all varieties. In spite of this, caregivers, and those they care for, are something of an invisible group. They are subjected to stereotypes of what a caregiver is, or who receives care, and they often feel alone. For these reasons, it’s important that caregivers also take care of themselves.

Let the competition begin! On Tuesday, Sphere officials held kick-off training events for students at the ��ҳ| �鶹��ýӳ�� and the Clark County School District as they begin designing art submissions, which could be featured on the Exosphere.
