The bacteria that causes Legionnaires’ disease was detected in the water of the downtown Las Vegas federal courthouse, according to a spokesperson for the U.S. General Services Administration. In a statement to 8 News Now, Mary Simms of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) said testing revealed the “limited presence of legionella bacteria that is being mitigated” at the Lloyd D. George U.S. Courthouse.
Drew Johnson’s victory in the Congressional District 3 Republican primary was a surprise to onlookers in Washington, D.C. The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) had language ready for two of his opponents but had not bothered to draft a press release for Johnson winning in advance, two sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed. (The NRCC denied that they did not have a release prepared.)

Heat exhaustion occurs when the body overheats (gets too hot) and cannot easily restore its normal temperature if left untreated and the underlying conditions not corrected. A common cause is excessive physical activity or staying for prolonged periods of time in hot and humid weather conditions. During physical activity or exercise, the body starts to lose water through sweating and that can lead to dehydration which is a common contributor to heat exhaustion.
