Sanae El Ibrahimi (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) and colleagues from Comagine Health (Michelle A. Hendricks, Sara Hallvik, Christi Hildebran), Brigham & Women’s Hospital (Scott G. Weiner, Michael A. Fischer), and Brandeis University (Grant Ritter) presented virtually at the 2021 National Health Data Organizations.
The presentation was titled "Enhancing Race and Ethnicity using Bayesian Imputation in an All Payer Claims Database." The study is funded by the National Institutes of Health and aimed to validate and use the Bayesian Improved Surname Geocoding to impute missing race and ethnicity in an All Payer Claims Data database. The authors used the Oregon Data Collaborative’s voluntary database enrollment and claims linked to vital statistics death records.
