Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for the Public Employees Benefits Program (PEBP) and Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) benefits takes place each year from May 1-31.

During open enrollment, benefits-eligible employees can make changes to their benefits offered through the Public Employees Benefits Program (PEBP) and NSHE.

Action Items for Benefits-Eligible Employees

During the open enrollment period, all benefits-eligible employees should review the following:

  • Current benefit elections
    • View the and websites to view elections.
  • NSHE FSA medical and dependent care accounts do not automatically renew. You must re-enroll in your accounts to continue participation in the new plan year. If you do not re-enroll, your FSA medical and dependent care accounts will end on June 30, 2024. The next opportunity to enroll in an FSA will be during the next open enrollment or if you have a .
  • Emergency contact information
    • Log into .
    • In the top right corner, select your name and then “View Profile.”
    • From the top left corner of your Profile page, select “Actions” (under your name) and hover over Personal Data.
    • Select “View My Emergency Contacts.”
    • If changes are needed, select “Edit.”
  • Cell phone number. This number is used to deliver notifications via RebelSAFE. 
    • Log into .
    • In the top right corner, select your name and then “View Profile.”
    • From the top left corner of your Profile page, select “Actions” (under your name), hover over Personal Data, and select “Change Contact Information.”
    • Under the Additional Phone section, add or edit your cellular telephone number. Make sure to select mobile or the phone device.
    • Select the “Submit” button, located in the lower left corner, to save your changes.
  • Beneficiary information
    • View your beneficiary information on the , , , , , websites.

If no updates are needed, no further action is required.

Flexible Spending Account

NSHE offers flexible spending accounts through ASIFlex. Visit the HSA vs FSA Accounts page for more information. To waive, cancel, or re-enroll in your flexible spending account, log into to submit your open enrollment change by May 31.

Note: The NSHE FSA is administered by ASIFlex, not by PEBP or the State of Nevada. Please do not fill out the PEBP’s FSA enrollment form.
