Latinx/Latino
Latinx students, staff, and faculty may face many of the same challenges navigating higher education. UNLV provides programs, resources, and services that help the Latinx comunidad. #YoSoyUNLV
Resources
- Student Diversity & Social Justice – the office of Student Diversity & Social Justice (SDSJ) was created out of student demand for identity specific support. As such, several identity-based positions were created to serve UNLV’s traditionally underserved students through programs, initiatives, and services.
- Jean Nidetch CARE Center - provides free and confidential support services to members of the UNLV community who have been impacted by sexual assault, relationship abuse, family violence, and/or stalking.
- Latinx and Latin American Studies
Affinity Groups
- - The Latinx Faculty and Staff Alliance’s mission is to support the Latinx and Hispanic communities on- and off-campus by promoting and advocating for diversity initiatives at UNLV. All UNLV academic and administrative faculty members as well as classified staff members are invited to be a part of the alliance. Please check the LFSA website in the future to see who to contact in order to join.
- Student Affinity Groups - There are numerous registered student organizations on campus where students can get involved.
