View and Pay Loan Balances Online
You can now view your loan balance and make payments on your loan online.
- Log in to the . You will need your ECSI PIN.
- Select UNLV as the school you are attending.
- Follow the prompts to complete your payment.
Signing Promissory Notes for Loan Funds
All loan borrowers are required to sign a promissory note. The completion of all paperwork and the signing of promissory notes for the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP), Nursing Student Loan Program (NSLP), Marion Smith, Ruth Minor, and other Institutional Loan Funds can be completed online.
- Log in to the .
- Confirm that UNLV is listed as the school you are attending.
- Provide your Social Security Number, last name, and date of birth.
- Provide your PIN when requested on the Student Authentication Network page. Note: Your FAFSA PIN is required to complete this process.You must have created a FAFSA account already to receive a PIN.
- Most pages require that you accept the terms by checking a box at the bottom of those pages.
- Provide complete reference information for yourself, next of kin, and two additional references. Failure to complete all lines accurately will keep this loan from disbursing to your account.
- Electronically sign at the bottom of the promissory note page. The electronic signature includes a check-off box plus your full legal name.
Your electronic promissory note will be reviewed by the UNLV Student Loan Department before any monies are disbursed. Your loan will not be disbursed until all electronic documents are approved. You must complete this process as soon as possible. The earlier it is completed, the earlier the funds will be disbursed. All tuition and fees are due by the due date regardless of the status of financial aid and the loan.
Graduate Emergency Loan Applications
Emergency loan applications for graduate assistants can be obtained from the Graduate College at 702-895-4273 or by emailing gradfinancialsvc@unlv.edu.
Graduate assistants can apply for a loan of up to $500 per semester. These loans must be repaid by the end of the semester in which they are granted. Recipients repay the loans through monthly payroll deductions. Please note that the loan is first applied to any unpaid university bills, with the remaining amount provided to the student. GA loans are not available in May, December, or summer months.
Federal and Institutional Loan Exit Interviews
Loan borrowers who drop below six credits while attending UNLV are required by law to complete an exit interview.
Exit interviews provide a complete explanation of repayment, deferment, and cancellation privileges, and answer specific questions about loans.
The exit interview can be completed online at your convenience. Please follow the directions below to ensure you are returned to a state of compliance with federal regulations and that the hold on your records is cleared. Completing the paperwork takes approximately 10-15 minutes.

- Access the . Heartland ECSI will email the PIN to the borrower.
- Log in to My Account.
- Click the Exit Interview link.
- Click the Exit Interview button to begin.
