Volunteer

Volunteering is an excellent way to make a difference in the community and UNLV. It also offers the opportunity to help you make connections and expand your career network. There are numerous ways to volunteer (including career engagement), from helping out for a few hours at an event, serving on a committee, or joining the board of directors.

Memberships

Professional associations promote development and career advancement through events, information sharing (e.g., standards, best practices, regulations, research), and access to resources. Additionally, professional association memberships facilitate networking, making new connections, and developing meaningful relationships.

Networking, enhancing expertise, and industry knowledge are necessary throughout one's career. Professional associations help individuals stay current on key issues, technology, research, regulations, and best practice–along with the opportunity to earn/maintain certifications and licenses–all of which are vital to staying relevant and driving career progression.

With these benefits in mind, and in effort to provide the most support to our alumni as possible, our unit is a proud member of the following organizations:

  • Alumni Career Services Network ()
  • National Association of Colleges and Employers ()
  • Council for Advancement and Support of Education ()
