The UNLV Foundation Distinguished Teaching Awards are presented annually to up to four UNLV faculty members. These awards are administered through the Teaching & Learning Commons, and selection is made by a committee composed of past winners. Each award carries a $5,000 stipend. From this group of award winners, UNLV will select nominees for the NSHE Regents’ Teaching Awards.

The Regents’ Teaching Awards are presented annually to NSHE permanent faculty members with distinguished records of teaching. Two awards will be selected from nominations from UNLV, UNR, NSC, and DRI: one award for faculty who are tenured or tenure track, and one award for faculty who are not tenured or tenure track (faculty-in-residence, lecturer). Each award carries a $5,000 stipend.
