Phil Burns
Executive Director, Office of Rights & Responsibilities

Welcome to the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities website.

The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities (OSC) oversees the UNLV Student Conduct Code, Student Academic Misconduct Policy, and serves as a resource to the UNLV community surrounding conflict resolution. As an integral part of the educational mission of UNLV, our office takes an educational approach when working with our community. Specifically, we look to foster an environment where students have an opportunity to be accountable for their behavior and continue their education in a supportive atmosphere.

The office assists students, faculty and staff not only with the conduct code and policy enforcement, but through an extensive outreach program that includes presentations such as academic integrity and preventing academic misconduct, conflict resolution and managing disruptive behavior. Many of our programs can be tailored to fit a specific population or need. If you would like our office to do a presentation, please let us know. We are more than happy to assist you in any way we can.

I hope you find the site helpful, and if you ever need assistance, please feel free to contact any member of our OSC staff.

Sincerely,

Phil Burns
