The Nevada Regents’ Award for Creative Activities is presented annually to two permanent full-time NSHE faculty members with distinguished records in creative activity. One award will be selected from nominations from UNLV, UNR, and NSU, and one award will be selected from nominations from CSN, GBC, TMCC, and WNC.
The award carries a $5,000 stipend. Faculty members who receive the Regents’ Award for Creative Activities may use the title as such in perpetuity.
Eligibility
Recipients must be nominated for this award and have at least five years of cumulative service in NSHE by the date of nomination. Although this award is intended for individuals, groups who by their collaboration have made major advances may be recognized as well.
Nomination Requirements
Nominees must be nominated by an NSHE employee or student. Self nominations are not accepted. Nominators should submit a formal nomination letter which speaks to the nominee’s excellence in their field and record of creative activity. Additional requirements for the nomination letter can be found in the Regents’ Awards Guidance document.
Please Note: If you intend to nominate a faculty member, please notify the nominee and submit the nomination letter to them directly. The nominee should compile all application materials, including the nomination letter, into a single PDF file and submit it by the deadline.
