Biography
Zane Marshall is the Director of the Water Resources Department of the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), where he has worked for the past 25 years.  A Las Vegas native, Zane leads five divisions that oversee the management of water, land and environmental resources, and the implementation of environmental restoration and compliance, climate change and sustainability programs.
Zane has a bachelor’s of arts in environmental studies, and a masters of arts in science in biology and statistics from the Ê×Ò³| Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». He is also a 2014 graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Water and Waste Water Leadership Center, and a 2015 graduate of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Las Vegas Program.
Zane has served on the Board of Directors for the Alliance for Water Efficiency, on the Board of Directors for the Great Basin Bird Observatory, as a National Park Service volunteer member of the Devils Hole Dive Team, and as an enlisted member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.  In 2007, Zane received UNLV’s Environmental Studies Outstanding Alumni Award for leadership, contributions and dedication to improve the environment.
