Biography
Omar Anderson is an IT auditor and digital accelerator at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and has experience working on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs) audits across the banking, capital markets, and health industries.
Omar moved to Las Vegas from Los Angeles in 2016 and pursued and completed his master’s degree at UNLV in Management Information Systems (MIS) as well as a graduate teaching certificate in Career & Technical Education before graduating in May 2018. Omar also has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University Long Beach, and has also worked in accounting in Los Angeles.
During his time at UNLV, Omar worked in the Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology (MET) Department as a graduate assistant. As part of his duties, Omar marketed the department’s bachelor’s degree in information management to Clark County high schools, in a bid to recruit more students for the program.
Omar is a Certified Information Systems Auditor, is CompTIA Security+ certified, and is also an active member of the National Association of Black Accountants.
