Biography
I am an applied biocultural anthropologist with a bachelor of arts in anthropology from The University of Southern California, and an master of arts in anthropology from San Diego State University. My previous research centered around basic needs mapping for resource insecure university students during the COVID-19 pandemic. At UNLV I will expand this research, exploring how access to basic needs impacts nutrition, health, wellbeing, and educational attainment. I feel passionately about collaborating with community stakeholders to use anthropological research to develop actionable, bottom-up solutions for a wide range of problems.
