Biography
Mike completed his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. He completed his APA accredited internship at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida, and his postdoctoral residency at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Mike’s clinical areas of interests include chronic disorders, trauma, familial abuse and neglect, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, and African American psychology. He utilizes primarily attachment theory and takes an interpersonal and insight-oriented approach to therapy. He also utilizes elements of rational-emotive behavior therapy, schema therapy, and object relations therapy. Mike enjoys multicultural work and is concerned, personally and professionally, with advocating for the rights and well-being of oppressed and marginalized people.
