Michele Anderson
Assistant Professor and Dance Designer
Biography
Michele Anderson is an assistant professor and dance designer for the UNLV Department of Dance. She joined the faculty in 2024 and provides instruction in the Dance Production and Management program. Michele’s scenic and projection design credits include productions at The Smith Center, Roosevelt Theatre, Wade James Theatre, Youth Theatre Northwest, The Andreas Theatre, The Empty Space, American Conservatory Theatre, Annex Theatre, Puget Sound Musical Theatre, The Flamingo Theatre, Horn Theatre, Cirque Du Soleil’s MJ ONE Theatre, Boston and McCormick Place Convention Centers, Old Main Theatre and PAC at Western at Washington University, Nevada Conservatory Theatre, and The Kennedy Center. Michele’s awards include two design awards from the Kennedy Center American Theatre College Festivals (KCATCF) for her scenic designs for Wings and Falsettos. She received the Pinnacle Performance award from MGM Resorts International. Her design and event production of the Amazing Race received the Silver Tier award from Exhibitor Magazine. As an event producer, Michele has designed and produced corporate events, concerts, and permanent environments. Her domestic work includes projects with Sotheby’s, Mercedes, Optum, Cadillac, Wyndham, Nissan, and Cisco. Her Las Vegas projects feature design collaborations with Cirque du Soleil, Aria Hotel & Casino, magicians Penn and Teller and MGM Resorts International. Michele has her B.A. in Theatre Design and Art from Western Washington University (Outstanding Performing Arts Graduate). As well as her M.F.A in Theatre Design/Technology from the Ê×Ò³| Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» (Foundation Creative Art Award).
