Biography
Mary Vicuna-Howe has 15 years of experience working in research administration, 10 of which have been at UNLV. She started at UNLV as a grant coordinator in the Office of Grants and Contract Financial Services and currently serves as the associate director of post-award services. Prior to joining UNLV, she previously held post-award positions in the research offices of Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated in 1996 from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with concentrations in accounting and management. Currently, she supervises research administrators and grant coordinators; provides oversight of the financial review of expenditures on awards; manages audits, including the annual R&D portion of the A-133 audit; provides oversight of financial reporting and invoicing on all sponsored program awards; and supervises the university’s development of the F&A rate proposal.
