Biography
Lisa Durette, MD, graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed both a general psychiatry residency and a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is board-certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as in addiction medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Durette has been awarded distinguished fellow of both the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and the American Psychiatric Association (APA). A member of the AACAP Political Action Committee Board, Dr. Durette serves on the AACAP Adoption and Foster Care Committee and is a Nevada delegate to the AACAP Assembly.
Dr. Durette and her team created and run the state’s child psychiatry access program, bringing child psychiatry expertise to the state’s primary care clinicians. In addition Dr. Durette is an active advocate of children's mental health locally and serves on the Governor’s Commission of Mental and Behavioral Health.
Most importantly, Dr. Durette is a mom, avid knitter, and fan of her Peloton bike.
