Biography
Leanne Free, MD, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and fellowship-trained specialist in complex family planning, is an assistant professor and Associate Program Director, Department of Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Free completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry and Spanish at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude.
After receiving her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center, she completed her residency training at Brown University in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in complex family planning at the University of Colorado, where she also received a master’s degree in clinical science.
Dr. Free chose obstetrics and gynecology as her medical specialty because she is passionate about providing care to patients throughout their reproductive years.
Her main interests include prenatal care and delivering babies, miscarriage management, contraceptive counseling, sexually transmitted infection evaluation and treatment, adolescent gynecology, gynecologic surgical procedures, and comprehensive reproductive health care and contraceptive care for individuals with complex medical conditions.
