Lauren Layton

Biography
Lauren started her journey as an academic advisor at UNLV in August 2012. An upstate New York native, Lauren graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego in 2009 where she earned her bachelor's degree in public relations and health science, and played field hockey. Upon discovering her love for higher education involvement, she continued her studies and graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina in 2012 with an M.Ed. in counselor education, student affairs. Lauren's professional background includes experience in new student and first-year initiatives, campus and student success programming, student conduct, admissions and recruitment, career services, and academic advising. Lauren is excited and extremely grateful to be a part of the College of Education and greater education community, and takes great pride in supporting, encouraging and motivating all UNLV students as they pursue their personal, academic and professional goals. Outside of the office, you will most likely find Lauren with friends and family, at the pool, cooking, exploring podcasts or different masterclasses on her treasured Calm app, or traveling.
