Dr. Jeremy Houska, Ph.D. ’10
Biography
Jeremy Ashton Houska (experimental psychology Ph.D. ‘10, ’07-’08 GPSA president) is the director of educational effectiveness at the University of La Verne. In this role, he leads the university’s efforts to enhance a culture of continuous improvement. Prior to this post, he enjoyed serving as vice president for institutional research, effectiveness, and design; as director of institutional research and assessment; as well as a tenured associate professor of psychology. While his administrative work is predominantly focused on assessment of institutional outcomes, his recent scholarly work includes topics such as positive organizational leadership, and the integration of design thinking principles in strategic planning (i.e., results-based strategic design). He is also co-author, with David E. Copeland, of the first year experience/introduction to the major textbook, Success for Psychology Majors (Sage).
