Biography
Jennie Mussar is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the states of Nevada and Florida. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Delaware and her master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. Jennie completed most of her post master’s training in the fields of severe mental health, addiction, substance use, and also working with the student-athlete population. She has worked in various treatment centers and agencies for underserved populations; working in every aspect of addiction recovery from detox/residential treatment to outpatient programs. Her clinical areas of interest have an extensive range that include addiction, substance use and the family, trauma, grief and loss, shame, performance anxiety, identity, unhealthy relationship dynamics, inner criticism, general anxiety, and depression. Jennie utilizes an eclectic, post-modern, and, at-times, an abstract and eccentric approach to elicit true change in thoughts and behaviors. She does this by applying a combination of modalities such as solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, and MRI-inspired therapy. Jennie's personal interests also have an extensive range that include philosophy, spirituality, watching documentaries, listening to a wide range of music, and cheering on her favorite Chicago sports teams. “I am incredibly privileged to be able to live out my passion of helping others in their mental health journey and guiding them towards growth and happiness!”
