Biography
Greg Koenig is a guitarist and music educator based in Las Vegas. He received two Master of Music degrees from the Ê×Ò³| Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» in guitar performance and music education. Greg received his Bachelor of Music from the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. Greg's guitar education also includes attending the Alexandria Guitar Festival, Eastman Summer Guitar Program, and summer study at the Beijing Central Conservatory as a Johns Hopkins Provost Scholar. Current research interests include creativity, transformative music education, and arts integration. Greg is currently a guitar teacher for the Clark County School District, a part time guitar instructor at the Ê×Ò³| Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³», and teaches Music Appreciation and History of Rock at the College of Southern Nevada. Greg has actively promoted guitar and guitar education with the Nevada Music Educators Association, American String Teachers Association, Aaron Shearer Foundation, Guitar Foundation of America, and Guitar Las Vegas.
