Biography
Dr. Brian Chrzan joined UNLV School of Dental Medicine in the fall of 2015 as an associate professor in residence of Biomedical Sciences and Orthodontics. His teaching responsibilities include pharmacology to second-year dental students as well as biomedical and orthodontic courses to post-graduate orthodontic and pediatric dental residents.
Dr. Chrzan’s research focuses on the physiology and pharmacology of bone including the factors involved in orthodontic tooth movement and root resorption. He also supports graduate research by serving as the graduate coordinator for the MS degree in oral biology program as well as the director of graduate student research.
Dr. Chrzan earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Utica College of Syracuse University and his DDS from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He remained at SUNY Buffalo to complete a certificate in orthodontics and a PhD in oral biology.
Dr. Chrzan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and member of the American Association of Orthodontists. Drawing upon his previous practice experience, Dr. Chrzan aims to foster novel clinical ideas, combining research with traditional orthodontic techniques for improved clinical outcomes.
