Biography
Althea Sheets is an experienced professional with over 20 years in university settings, holding dual bachelor’s degrees in accounting and communication studies from the University of Idaho. As the Interim Director of Communications for the Division of Research at UNLV, she develops and disseminates communications to highlight the significance of research to various stakeholders. Additionally, in her role as Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activities Development Manager, she identifies funding opportunities, manages awards, and provides support to faculty and students in securing external research funding. Previously, Althea served as Communications Specialist at the Nevada System of Higher Education, and Communications Manager for Idaho EPSCoR. She enjoys family history and spending quality time with her family.
