Biography
Aaliyah Galwey is a proud, second-generation student, earning a degree in Secondary Education (2021). During their academic career at UNLV, Aaliyah has had many roles such as a Resident Assistant, earning Resident Assistant of the Year and the Community Service Award, was a peer mentor for the Student Diversity and Social Justice office (SDSJ), as well as member of the Intramural Sports staff. Aaliyah is also a dedicated member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. where they were co-chair in implementing the Divine 9 monuments outside of the Carol C. Harter building (CHB). Currently, Aaliyah serves in the role as a curriculum analyst for the Office of the Registrar. Their profound affection for UNLV stems from their belief that the institution will forever remain their cherished home.
