Activate Your Rebelmail
Follow the to activate your Rebelmail. You will need to use your Rebelmail account to access the OISS Portal and submit your documents for your I-20. Using your Rebelmail account is mandatory, as it is the university’s official means of communicating with you. Your Rebelmail account includes the G Suite, giving you access to Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and unlimited storage on the Drive.
Activate Your ACE Account
Your ACE account allows you to log in to campus applications, including the OISS Portal, with one username and password. You’ll receive an email to your personal email account with instructions on how to set up your ACE account.
Submit Financial Certification and Bank Letter
Complete the Confidential Financial Certification Form and Bank Letter and submit to the Office of Admissions.
Bank letters cannot be older than six months from the start of the program, must be signed or stamped by the bank, and must be from an account with readily available funds. Submit this as soon as possible to expedite the processing of your Form I-20. The priority deadline to submit these is six weeks prior to the program start date listed on the Form I-20.
- Students Already Studying in the U.S.: Notify your current school of your intent to transfer to UNLV by showing a copy of your acceptance letter.
- Students Outside of the U.S.: Pay the SEVIS fee online and schedule your visa interview after you receive the Form I-20.
Complete the International Student Check-In Process
After arriving on campus, all new admitted international students must complete the check-in process with the International Student and Scholar Services. You must report to the International Student and Scholar Services by your program start date to maintain lawful F-1 status. You may enter the country 30 days before your official program start date shown on your Form I-20. Look for your check-in instructions in your . Schedule an appointment or video conference for assistance.

- Passport
- F-1 Visa
- I-94
Submit Required Immunization Records
All enrolled students who attend classes on campus must meet immunization requirements. Submit proof of immunization to the Office of the Registrar as soon as possible to prevent registration holds.
Submit Your Official Documents
It is highly recommended to submit official copies of your needed documents before attending orientation. However, you may submit these during orientation if needed.
Register for Classes
First-Year Students
- Fall Semester: First-year students will receive their class schedules during orientation.
- Spring Semester: Academic advising is not provided during orientation. Contact your Advising Center to schedule an appointment.
Transfer Students
- Fall Semester: Academic advising will be offered during orientation. We encourage you to meet with an Academic Advisor before orientation. Contact your Advising Center to schedule an appointment to register for courses as soon as possible.
- Spring Semester: Academic advising is not provided during orientation. Contact your Advising Center to schedule an appointment.
