The UNLV department of art is pleased to announce the Spring 2021 Virtual Artist-in-Residence Project ART TALK Talk talk presented by Los Angeles-based artists Beck + Col.
ART TALK Talk talk is an online art talk show modeled after classic late night shows like the Tonight Show. During their virtual artist residency, the duo has collaborated with the department of art to interview special guest artists along with UNLV MFA students and faculty in the traditional talk show format. They have hosted performance and video workshops and invited students to create “commercials” and other content for the talk show.
Guest artists include: Jennifer Moon, Trulee Hall, Andres Payan Estrada, Pau Pescador, Alicia Piller, Aurora Tang, Michael Fong, Kay Leigh Farley, Tiffany Lin, Sapira Cheuk, Jung Min, Wendy Kveck, Erik Beehn, Laura Brennan, Yasmina Chavez, Emily Sarten, John Mcvay, Aaron Cowan, Erin K Drew, Keeva Lough and Lyssa Park.
The six-episode series was released July 22 with a new episode every Thursday through Aug. 29. Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, The Department of Art and the UNLV College of Fine Arts are partnering with Beck + Col to screen and promote the talk show online this summer.
