UNLV's William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration announced today the new and recently reappointed members of its Alumni Association Board of Directors. Affiliated with the UNLV Alumni Association, the board works to improve communication with members and engage alumni worldwide in the life of the college.
The new members are as follows:
* Paula Eylar, vice president, Internal Audit for Boyd Gaming,
* Dennis Gradillas, hotel manager, Tropicana Resort & Casino,
* Paula O'Donnell, director of hotel marketing and operations, Boardwalk Hotel and Casino
* Holly Mae Sparks, business manager, Delmonico Steakhouse.
Recently reappointed members include Jim Germain, president, USA Hosts; Christine Kiely, account executive, Clear Channel Taxi Media; Kathy Nelson, faculty, Harrah Hotel College; Fayyaz Raja, owner, Raja Enterprises; Bill McBeath, president, The Mirage; Tony Santo, senior vice president, Caesars Entertainment. Marcus Threats, casino floor supervisor at The Mirage, was selected by the Alumni Board of Directors to serve as its chairperson. Threats has been a board member since 2002.
The college alumni board was founded in 2002 to support the Harrah Hotel College in achieving its strategic goals by providing advocacy and financial support for programs, and by promoting fellowship among alumni, faculty, and students of the college.
The William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at UNLV is the largest hotel college in the United States with approximately 2,000 undergraduates, 80 master's students, 20 doctoral students, and nearly 7,000 alumni, representing all 50 states and more than 50 countries.
