The (BMI) at UNLV is proud to announce this year’s recipients of community partnership funding for projects that connect to BMI’s mission. Eight individuals and organizations will receive support of up to $1,500 for community-driven events or programs that serve audiences in Las Vegas or Southern Nevada.
“We considered proposals that reflect priorities in BMI’s mission statement, which include making space for stories and conversations about Las Vegas,” says , associate director of programs at BMI. “By partnering with these community groups and individual artists, BMI hopes to foster more connections within Las Vegas that serve local audiences and address local interests.”
BMI invited proposals in two separate calls between Aug. 15 and Oct. 1, 2023 — one to the general public and one specific to graduate students and recent alumni from UNLV’s Creative Writing International program. The programs supported by BMI will occur between February 2024 and July 2024.
