The UNLV Performing Arts Center is pleased to welcome Broadway songstress Linda Eder at 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 4 as part of the New York Stage and Beyond series in a holiday show guaranteed to be a warm and glorious start to the season. With a voice critics have called "spellbinding and honest," Eder performs songs from two of her albums: Broadway, My Way and Christmas Stays the Same. She will be backed during part of her performance by the UNLV Chamber Chorale.
After starring in the Broadway smash "Jekyll & Hyde," selling out dozens of concert halls to stunning reviews, and recording seven solo records, Eder now performs about 50 concert dates a year, sharing her magnificent three-octave voice with audiences around the world.
"I'm not someone who focuses on technique," Eder said. "I think only about the emotion of the song and the lyrics, the way that it makes me feel, the way that it makes the audience feel. It's all about communicating emotionally, and if I'm concentrating on the emotion, then my performance can only be honest."
Tickets to Linda Eder are $35, $45, and $70 and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center Box Office at 895-ARTS (2787) or by visiting UNLVTickets.com. Student rush tickets are $12.50 each and available one hour prior to each event, based on availability and with valid student I.D. UNLV faculty and staff discounts also are available. A $.50 facilities fee, in addition to the ticket price, is charged on all Performing Arts Center tickets. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Information about all of the season's performances can be found on the Performing Arts Center website.

UNLV and KLVX Channel 10 are graciously sponsoring the 2004-2005 Season, "Stars at the Center."
