UNLV invites the community to make an impact and support a growing campus tradition April 5-6 by participating in Rebels Give.
The fourth annual Rebels Give, a campuswide crowdfunding drive, will kick off at 9:30 a.m. April 5 with a spirit rally on UNLV’s Pida Plaza. Just before 10 a.m., UNLV President Keith Whitfield, the marching band, and Rebel cheerleaders will lead a countdown to start the campaign clock. The drive will last 1,957 minutes, in honor of the university’s founding in 1957.
“Whether it’s a small contribution or a major gift, private support sustains critical programs and launches new ones,” said UNLV President Keith E. Whitfield. “Private giving fuels our success as a university and gives students the help they need to achieve their goals. Every gift, no matter the size, will make a lasting impact.”
The university – and each of its colleges and divisions – will encourage support for specific programs and causes during the two-day period on social media with unique challenges, donor match opportunities, and more. People are also encouraged to tag #RebelsGive on social media April 5 and 6 and share why they’re ambassadors for UNLV.
