The Ê×Ò³| Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» today announced that the Invent the Future campaign has brought in more than $337 million. The campaign, which is the university's first-ever comprehensive fundraising effort, was launched to the public in September 2005, with $263 million raised during its "quiet" or nucleus gifts phase. The goal of the campaign is to raise $500 million by the end of 2008.
Fundraising priorities for the Invent the Future campaign include endowments to assist with recruitment and retention of top students and faculty; funds to provide enhanced learning opportunities through scholarships, fellowships and other programs; and funds toward innovative learning environments, through new and renovated facilities and special equipment. The campaign is the largest effort of its type in state history.
